Hackney Studios
Hackney Studios comprise of two photographic studios located in a Victorian tram depot in Clapton, East London. Studio One (1600sq ft) has a full 500sq ft cove that benefits from natural daylight from large skylights above that run the entire length of the studio. These skylights can be blacked out with a system of blinds. The studio has a fully working kitchen, bathroom with shower, as well as a dedicated make-up and styling area. The studio also has a shooting gallery mezzanine, great for plan photography and original features such as bear brick walls and wooden beams. Studio Two (2200sq ft), situated on the ground floor with drive in access, is a spacious up market studio with a seventeen foot high full infinity cove. The studio has had extensive soundproofing to allow for video, audio and photographic work and comes pre-lit with two 5k spacelights on dimmers. Distribution is a three phase 300amp supply. The studio has two bathrooms, one with a double shower, private changing area and a large dedicated makeup or client area on the mezzanine over looking the main studio. There is also a large early Victorian exposed brick wall and tall grey wall offering multiple shooting setups. Set build can be arranged, along with superb catering and equipment hire. On request, the infinity coves can be painted any colour, including chroma green and blue. Lighting can be to lighting rigs above both the infinity coves. Hackney Studios is located within sight of Clapton Overground Station close to a great variety of cafes, pubs and shops.
The Empire StudioThis is the sound proofed live room for the recording studio, with full black out facility. 30ft high pine vaulted ceiling, raised stage area. Surrounding balcony area at one end, and goods lift access from ground floor. The room is fully acoustically treated. Suitable for recorded performances.
Old School StudioThe entire top floor of a classic Victorian school – formerly the gym and assembly hall. A bank of south facing windows and four large skylights provide excellent daylight. Original features include the vaulted ceiling, parquet floor, pine stage and blue and cream Victorian tiling. Filled with quirky and eclectic props and furniture ranging in styles from industrial to Art Deco to Modernist. Located in Stepney Green
