The Tea Room is a lounge in Soho, London Guests are welcomed into a by gone era where East meets West. A celebration of the hedonistic attitude which characterised Hong Kong in the sixties. The approach to interior design is heavily influenced by the aesthetic portrayed in the cult film ‘In the Mood for Love’ by Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai. In contrast to the light and open cafe above, Tea Room features contrasting textures of rattan, brass and exposed brick. The low lighting, neon fixtures and dark wooden booths furnished in deep red velvet, evoke the mood and atmosphere of traditional Chinese drinking dens, providing a fitting late-night Soho hangout.
