Stillington Mill

Stillington Mill

Stillington Mill, York

We are fortunate to live in this eighteenth century former Water/Corn Mill. The `Mill was sensitively converted to a residence in the early 1960’s by a local Architect. The Mill retains the original features and Mill workings, including the original Mill Wheel, Mill Race, Mill Stones and the oak and iron engineering workings as part of our living areas. The Mill is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and is adjacent to the River Foss in the beautiful North Yorkshire Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Mill ponds (3) and grounds are spectacular in all seasons. There are many location opportunities both inside the Mill and outside on the site. Of particular interest are the Mill Pond and Willow island with a handmade rustic bridge, a bespoke Shepherds Hut and secret Dell and Glade areas. Wildlife and established trees bound. Excellent access and superb Yorkshire hospitality await.
