This house was built in the late 1800's and retains an authentic, cottage-like feel whilst having all necessary modern amenities. It has only just been finished after two years renovation, and is done to the highest standards. The finishing of my house was a labour of love; sourcing individual and authentic items, down to the traditional sanitary ware that you will find in the bathroom, along with a cast iron bath. The space is incredibly light, the kitchen has a roof light above a farmhouse dining table. Downstairs is open plan and spacious, with a large Chesterfield sofa and armchair to relax on after a busy day in the city. The floor is all antique oak. Kitchen with aga and blue kitchen units. Upstairs, both bedrooms have large antique beds with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton linen and comfy mattresses. The main bedroom has roof lights to allow maximum light in. All of the freestanding furniture is antique, I have a love for auctions and car boot sales, so you will find truly one off pieces. I also love travel, specifically India, so alongside the traditionally British furnishings there is some Eastern influence as well. Free-standing roll-top bath with blue tiles on the wall behind. Located in Bethnal Green, East London, E2.
