We live on the eastern edge of Dartmoor up a quarter of a mile long winding private drive. The house is set high up in 11 acres of woodland, has granite outcrops and a tor on the land. The location is quite special with bluebells, primroses and early purple orchids in the grounds. We are only 2 miles from the A38, the main road from Bristol to Cornwall and are 20 minutes from Exeter. There is plenty of parking. The house is a mix of a pretty and symmetrical Georgian stone house with a verandah joined by huge glass pivot doors to a large contemporary larch clad shed like extension which houses the large kitchen/dining area. It has a simple vibe using natural materials and a modern rustic feel. There is plenty of light and the kitchen dining area takes up one large open space.
Local train stations, hotels, restaurants and parking.
