On Wednesday 7th February we were delighted to host a masterclass with expert Hollywood gaffer and founder of Litepanels Pat Grosswendt, whose credits include Gosford Park and The Crucible. The event Started in our Lounge which has an urban industrial interior and a capacity of 150. After an introductory session we moved into our studio AREA, which exposed brick feature walls were perfect for a demonstration. The event had over 200 confirmed guests so we were absolutely packed with eager fans.
Pat’s masterclass was ILLUMINating and showcased his versatile range of affordable and convenient LED lights. Star of the show (aside from Pat himself) was the new Litepanels Gemini which customers will soon be able to rent from JJ Media Equipment. This new Litepanel product allows fine-tuning to perfectly match ambient colour temperatures quickly and accurately.

The Gemini provides a beautiful and wide source of soft, colour accurate, full spectrum daylight and Tungsten lighting. It also allows users quick and easy adjustment of light with three fully featured modes. Amongst other things Pat flaunted the advantages of smaller lights, brilliantly enabling us to paint the subjects face with blockers. Here he is demonstrating on our very own Amy Green, JJ Media’s Marketing and Business Development Manager.
