Responsibilities

  • Organisation and management of your workload in order to handle up to 40 enquiries at any one time.

  • Driving sales and growing your pipeline with outbound calls to existing and prospective clients.

Description

JJ Lighting are looking for a full time Warehouse Operative and Driver. We are looking for an individual wanting to gain experience in a professional environment working to the high standards of JJ Lighting and the industry as a whole. Reporting to the Head of Lighting and Head of Operations, and supporting the operational team this position offers a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of Lighting within the Film and Photographic industry.  Further ongoing training will be offered as part of the position.

Please note this position is shift work and your 9 hour shift will fall between the hours of 7am and 9pm. 

As part of this application we require you to send a copy of your driver’s licence so we can undertake checks.

Work activities include

  • Assisting the Operational team in the prepping, check-in and testing of equipment.
  • Maintaining the rental stock and ensuring equipment is presented to the highest possible standards. 
  • Learning and utilising the rental software and barcode system in operation in the warehouse, to ensure maximum utilisation of jj Lighting equipment.
  • Delivery and collection of equipment both in our studios and on location, ensuring they are fulfilled in a timely fashion.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse 
  • General warehouse duties including stock checks and restocking. 
  • Representing JJ Media  in line with the company culture and guidelines, both internally and when dealing with clients.

Required Skills and Attributes: 

  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • Ability to take direction well, and think on your feet, whilst working in a fast paced environment.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal abilities, willing to help other members to get the job done.
  • Full and clean driving licence – Confident driver with 2 years van driving experience essential
  • Industry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • This is a physical job with a lot of lifting and carrying.

Salary: £25,000 – £27,500 depending on experience.

  • Awareness of the occupancy levels across all our studios and working closely with FOH to ensure the efficient load in and out of our studios, and swift response to daily additions to maximise the client experience. 
  • Taking full ownership of all jobs put on RMS from Quote to conversion, packing, delivering, and Invoicing.
  • Ensuring maximum utilisation of jj media’s equipment. 
  • Working to prevent Sub-hires as much as possible.
  • Reacting speedily to additions for orders, be it for the company’s studios or off-site jobs.
  • Representing the company in line with the company’s culture, both internally and when dealing with clients.

Description:

Reporting to the Head of Studios, members of the Front of House Team will work to ensure that all studios are prepped and turned before/after each and every shoot or event, and all stock is accounted for accurately. As Front of House, including client facing duties, the Studio FOH Team will promote the JJ culture and brand both in the studio and when dealing with clients.

Responsibilities:

– Ensuring that Studios and surrounding areas are serviced and maintained to the standards laid down by the company.

⁃ Meeting/greeting and assisting clients into and out of the studios.

⁃ Assisting with client requests throughout the day, liaising with all JJ departments as necessary.

⁃ Responding to action lists for site repairs, renewals and improvements.

– Managing the get-out of all clients from the studios at the end of the day, assisting as necessary. 

– Overseeing all vehicle access and parking on the day

– Completing stock and equipment records after each shoot promptly and accurately.

– Restocking all fridges and studio consumables as required.

– Leaving every studio ready for the following day’s bookings or client site visits.

– Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness across client, communal and staff areas as set out by the Front of House guidelines, including liaising closely with our cleaners to ensure the studios are correctly cleaned overnight.

– Managing the secure shutdown of the premises in line with company protocol.

⁃ Ensuring that personal appearance, uniform and conduct at all times reflect the JJ ethos and culture.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years Hospitality or relevant experience in Events or Facilities .
  • A strong eye for detail, in regards to both hospitality and in presentation. 
  • Evidence of a proactive approach to daily tasks, demonstrating self initiative and capability.  
  • Self-motivated, with strong leadership skills and a hands-on attitude. Setting examples in work standards, speed and quality of delivery. 
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management.
